Eligibility for B.Ed Admission
A candidate shall be eligible for admission to the course leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Education provided she fulfills the following conditions:
1. Academic Qualification: The candidate should have passed the UG Degree Examination in the 10+2+3 stream, with the same main subject in part III, for which she is seeking admission to the B.Ed Programme.
2. Engineering Graduates: Bachelors in Engineering (or) Technology with specialisation in Mathematics and Science with 55% of marks or any other qualifications equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.
3. Double/Triple Major Rule: Candidates who have taken more than one main subject in Part III (Double/Triple Major) of the Graduation have to choose only one of the main subjects and apply for that optional only.
The admission criteria, however, shall be as per the norms prescribed by the University or the State Government. The basis of selection shall be in accordance with the statutory provisions of the University/Government of Tamil Nadu in force at the time.

Duration & Schedule
The duration of the B.Ed Degree course is 2 years, comprising 4 semesters.
- Total 200 working days per academic year.
- Includes Practice Teaching & School/Community activities.
- Course work duration: 2400 hours.
Attendance
Strict attendance norms are followed to ensure quality training.
- 85% attendance required for course work and practicum.
- 100% attendance required for school internship.
Reservation
Reservation is followed strictly according to the Norms of the State Government of Tamil Nadu.
(SC, ST, MBC, BC and other categories as per statutory provisions).
